The time is right for obstacles sports to go mainstream!

Last June 21, the Philippine Olympic Committee (“POC”) designated Pretty Huge Obstacles (“PHO”), the newest indoor sports center set to open in BGC, as the official cross-training facility for national athletes. With an area of 2,000 sqm and over 100 obstacles in the PHO layout, the Philippines will be the proud home of the largest multi-level obstacle sports facility in Asia.

In partnership with the Pilipinas Obstacle Sports Federation (“POSF”), the governing body for obstacle sports in the Philippines, PHO will introduce people to obstacle course racing, a new and unique approach to achieving and maintaining an active lifestyle.

Since January 2017, POSF has been pushing its mandate “to promote and lead obstacle racing and related sports and disciplines throughout the Philippines and among Filipinos.” With the establishment of Pretty Huge Obstacles, POSF will have a bigger venue and platform to spread awareness about obstacle racing and its many benefits.

While many fitness regimens are often repetitive and focused on the individual, Pretty Huge Obstacles’ goal is to provide a social fitness environment that is fun, challenging, and collaborative. Whether one sees obstacles as a means to healthy living, entertainment, or relationship-building, PHO’s obstacle designs and training classes can convert kids, families, and traditional professional athletes into obstacle sports enthusiasts.

With its construction still underway, PHO aims to rival Philippines’ premier gyms and fitness centers through its signature features such as the 100M Elevated Indoor Race Track, Adult and Kid Obstacle Zones, Olympic-quality obstacles and equipment, 5-star changing rooms, advanced functional training programs, and a snack lounge where healthy food options are prepared and served by award-winning local and international chefs.

Pretty Huge Obstacles will have its pretty huge opening on October 2018. It’s located at 2/F Civic Center, SM Aura Premier, BGC, Taguig City.
