Pretty Huge Obstacles Goes to Globe Telecom

2020-05-07 00:00:00

It has been a pretty awesome week for Pretty Huge Obstacles (PHO) as they partnered with Globe Telecom to bring a totally wonderful Obstacle Course experience at The Globe Tower last October 15-19, 2018.

This was the first corporate partnership initiated by Pretty Huge Obstacles and it was a great start to let Globe have first dibs on it.

PHO pushes an advocacy to create a healthy working environment. By this, we are reaching out to local corporations and building great Corporate Wellness Partnerships.

The event brought a glimpse of what to expect to Globe employees as they set up common tracks from an Obstacle Course Race and conducted exclusive Functional and OCR After-work classes that welcomed both hardcore OCR enthusiasts and novices, showcasing a new, unique, and collaborative approach to achieve and maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.

A Hanging Challenge was also set to those employees who were up for an extreme dare. We had them test their strength and focus to hang as long as they could on the Monkey Bars. We selected male and female winners who lasted the longest. Winner for the Male Category was a Planning Expert from Wireless Broadband Engineering Department- Derick Dimla garnering a time of 2 minutes, and 17 seconds; while for the Female Category was a Rollout Manager from Product Management Department- Danna Yanessa garnering a time of 1 minute, and 54 seconds.

This is just the beginning of extending a helping hand to every corporate organization that wishes to achieve a healthy workforce in a social fitness environment that is fun, challenging, and collaborative.

A pretty huge thanks to Merrell Philippines for sponsoring this first Corporate Event, and to the following people from Globe Telecom for making this partnership successful: Mr. Miggy Dela Cruz, Director for Experience Design, and Ms. Anna Dela Rosa, Senior Manager for Process Design and Implementation. Also, folks who helped with all the event collaterals from the Human Resources Department: Kurt Silvano, Honey Jean Maglacion, Emil Dela Cruz, and Box Garchitorena. Concierge and Facility Team which ensured smooth logistics on their premises throughout the event. Globe’s Safety Team headed by Mr. Joven Cabingao, for providing safety assistance to every participant. For all the coaches who facilitated the classes: Jay Lim, Shane Fernandez, Dante Requinala, Sarah Lim, and Ken Nervasa.
