Pretty Huge Obstacles Member Feature: YOHANA DAUSIN

2020-05-07 00:00:00

Yohana Dausin is a teen OCR athlete and has been going through the peaks and troughs of obstacle course racing for over a year. She’s maintained an active lifestyle ever since, and when she saw an OCR training video via social media, it definitely piqued her interests.

To prepare for a race, Yohana trains at Pretty Huge Obstacles to condition her mind and body for the challenges she’ll be facing. For the obstacles, Yohana doesn’t feel pressured to overcome them in one swoop. She’s thankful that the OCR community is focused on making the environment feel welcoming for every member and for prioritizing fun over competition.

Her advice for teens who are still on the fence about OCR is to take their time. Yohana expresses that no one will expect them to be amazing at the very beginning and that it’s completely okay to struggle every now and then. She believes that as long as there’s progress, then that, in itself, is an achievement.
